Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strongly condemned the deadly blast in Delhi, highlighting the “unyielding spirit” of both India and Israel in the face of terrorism. His message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi followed the attack that killed eight people.
Netanyahu praised the “strong bond” between the two nations, which he called “ancient civilisations united by shared values.” It is this bond, he suggested, that makes their spirit unbreakable. “Terror may strike our cities, but it will never shake our souls,” he declared.
The Israeli leader offered “deepest condolences” to the families of the victims on behalf of himself, his wife Sara, and the Israeli people. He assured India, “Israel stands strong with you in sorrow and in strength in this time.”
The blast, which occurred near the Red Fort on Monday, is now the subject of a high-level probe. The Ministry of Home Affairs has transferred the case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), citing a terror angle.
The NIA has registered a case and is investigating a suspected Jaish-e-Mohammad module. A dedicated team is coordinating with other security units to uncover the full network behind the deadly car explosion.
