Hayden Panettiere, celebrated for her performances in Heroes, Nashville, and the Scream series, has passed away at the age of 36. Her representative confirmed the news, though the cause of death has not been disclosed. Her father, Skip Panettiere, remembered her as “an incredible light and a force of nature” whose presence brought joy and love to many.
Panettiere’s acting journey began in childhood with commercial appearances, followed by her film debut as the voice of Dot in A Bug’s Life. Her filmography includes roles in Remember the Titans and Tiger Cruise, but she achieved global recognition at 17 as Claire Bennet in the popular TV series Heroes, which aired from 2006 to 2010.
In later years, Panettiere starred as Juliette Barnes in the TV series Nashville. Her portrayal of the country music star earned her two Golden Globe nominations, and several tracks she performed for the show made it to the Billboard country music charts. Additionally, she portrayed Kirby Reed in Scream 4 and reprised the role in Scream VI earlier this year.
Beyond her professional achievements, Panettiere openly addressed her personal challenges, such as addiction, recovery, and postpartum depression. She shared her experiences in her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, published earlier this year, offering insights into her life off-screen.
Panettiere is survived by her parents and her daughter, Kaya Klitschko, leaving behind a legacy of memorable performances and resilience in the face of personal battles.
