Alipov Links ‘Existential Threat’ to Nuclear Use, Dismisses ‘Childish’ Europe

Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov explicitly linked the concept of an “existential threat” to the potential use of nuclear weapons, using it to dismiss “childish” European hopes for a Ukrainian victory.

“We have in our doctrine that if there is an existential threat to us, there is a possibility of its use,” Alipov stated, clarifying his country’s position.

This doctrine, he argued, is the reason Russia cannot be defeated or “taken over” in the nearly four-year-long war, despite billions in Western aid to Kyiv.

He was sharply critical of European nations, labeling their belief in a Russian defeat as “craziness” and “unprofessional.”

Conversely, he praised Donald Trump’s “understanding” of the situation, claiming the former US president knows the war “is lost by Ukraine and the West.”
